o   Sunday the 4th – Concert on the occasion of the Atirudra Mahayagnam mega event at the Livermore Temple, 1232 Arrowhead Avenue, Livermore, CA 94551; 2:00 PM; Ajay Sundar Raj (T) and Krishna Parthasarathy (V.) This concert is free and open to all.

 

o   Saturday the 24th - Swara Sanjeevini – a Kannada light music concert by the premier Kannada band Raaga, presented by the Kannada Koota of Northern California, the proceeds of which go to SSCF; tickets can be purchased via SulekhaCarrington Hall, 1201 Brewster Avenue, Redwood City, CA 94062; 5:00 PM

o   Saturday the 2ndSwara Lahari presents Swara Sanjeevini, a Carnatic-Hindustani jugalbandi concert with Ragavan Manian and myself, the proceeds of which go to SSCF; Jain Temple Auditorium, 722 South Main Street, Milpitas, CA 95035. Concert and ticket details are here.

 

 

September 2018

 

o   Sunday the 2nd through Sunday the 23rd NAATAK (the largest production in Naatak’s 23 years!) presents Mahabharat - a grand musical in Hindi on the greatest epic ever penned! Written and directed by Sujit Saraf, with music direction by me, there will be as many as 50 people on stage, weaving theatre, dance and music into an intricate presentation. Cubberley Theater, 4000 Middlefield Road, Palo Alto, CA 94303

o   Sunday the 4thSangeeta-Nritya Kusumanjali - a fundraiser concert for the Sankata Mochana Hanuman Temple featuring Hindustani vocal music from my students and myself, as well as Bharatanatyam dance by Suganda Iyer and her students; Ajay Sundar Raj (T) and Krishna Parthasarathy (V); Smithwick Theatre at Foothill College, 12345 El Monte Road, Los Altos Hills, CA 94022

o   Sunday the 11thKannada Koota of Northern California presents KKNC Deepotsava 2018 “Geet Sangam, in which I will present in song select poems of prominent Kannada poets over multiple centuries and even recent decades. Vishvanath Hulikal, a celebrated literary maven will provide commentary and background on the poets and their poems, while Ajay Sundar Raj and Ambhranee Yakkundi respectively will provide tabla and harmonium accompaniment. o   Saturday the 17thRSV 2018: The annual student concert of our Rajguru Sangeet Vidyaniketan, in which my students will perform along with many other talented musicians.
