o
Sunday the 2nd to Sunday October 1st – Naatak presents Bombay Talkies - a grand musical in Hindi, for which I am the
music director and lead singer. Bombay
Talkies is a sashay through the Hindi film industry
in its golden years, capturing its glitz, glamour and insouciance, its
soul-stirring music, its utter lack of insight, and its complete detachment
from the world that sustains it. The show
features all the glory of Hindi film music from 1935 to 1975, vivacious dance,
brilliant acting, gorgeous sets, and lovely stage design - all
superlatively written and directed by the indefatigable Sujit Saraf. Cubberley Theatre, 4000 Middlefield Road, Palo Alto, CA 94303.
